Our gallery shop is located on Jalan Raya Ubud at the corner of Jalan Hanoman, in front of the BPD Bank, and open every day from 10 am to 6 pm.  By purchasing our handicrafts you can help support Kupu-Kupu´s artists.

If you come on holiday to Bali, please visit our shop and support our artists!

Kupu-Kupu Foundation Gallery Shop

The shop is one of the most important projects of the Kupu-Kupu Foundation. It has been open since 2004 and is selling handicrafts made by people with disabilities. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach him how to fish and he will eat for life”.

For many the gallery has become a way of supporting themselves.  The shop also gives work to people with disabilities as shop assistants. To date there have been five people with disabilities working at the shop.  One ofthe most important things in their lives is to be as independent as possible, both physically and economically.

Ketut Rauh is an artist who paints and works in our Kupu-Kupu Gallery Shop.

We sell a variety of handicrafts, paintings, woodcarvings, coconut lamps, coconut carvings, kites, handicrafts made of bamboo, and much more.  This project means a lot for our disabled artists because they can have an income and support themselves and their families which at the same time give them much self-esteem and confidence.  All the profits at the shop are used to support all the programs at the Foundation.

Give socially-aware presents to your friends!  You will know who made each piece of art (the shop has profiles and photos of the disabled artists) and you will know you are helping someone who is having a much tougher life than yourself!  To see some of the many handicrafts for sale in our shop, please go to the article about handicrafts.
